Job Description:

OFD Foods is looking for a Production Operator for our Henrietta, New York facility operate plant equipment and follow standard procedures to meet production objectives. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Participates in a safe, productive, respectful environment for all employees

  • Load product on and off trays

  • Monitor equipment, rooms, and product, record results and determine corrective actions as necessary

  • Moving of product, equipment and supplies, both manually and utilizing material handling equipment

  • Completing full sanitation of production supplies and equipment and perform testing to validate cleanliness

  • Equipment set up and take down

  • Packaging and labeling product

  • Follow established standard operating procedures and be involved in updating processes applicable documentation

  • Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activities in the facility

  • Perform testing on product to ensure product is in specifications and make decisions from results

  • Contributes in daily shift meetings as well as team meetings

  • Prepare and ship samples

  • Act as a support member of the Emergency Response Team

Experience and Skills:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred

  • Food manufacturing experience is preferred

  • Previous general manufacturing experience with process and packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment is desirable

  • Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently is essential

 

WORK CONDITIONS

Exposure to manufacturing plant conditions (hot, cold, wet, dry, noisy, etc.).

 

SALARY

Depends on qualifications and experience.
